Stonewall man arrested for first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder

A man from Stonewall was arrested by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for sexually assaulting a juvenile and leaving them for dead, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On August 2nd, just before 2 AM, Caddo Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Farmridge Road in response to a sexual assault. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a young child who had been sexually assaulted and was lying lifeless at the residence. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital by the Caddo Fire District, as they were suffering from life-threatening injuries.

After prompt action by our detectives, a potential suspect, Lucas Logan, 31, was identified and taken into custody. Deputies transported Logan to the detective's office for further investigation. As a result of this investigation, Logan was charged with first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder. Subsequently, he was taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was officially booked in on the aforementioned charges.
